Ski 27: Family outing to Brown cabin

Image
Sunday, February 24, 2014 Meg and Arlo rented Brown cabin as we have in previous years. We decided we could not pull off the overnight with our mini people so we went for brunch. Very icy after the thaw and re-freeze but beautiful and sunny. Lots of pictures today.

Ski 26: Calm before the storm

Thursday, February 20, 2014 Milder temps this week and a forecast of an inch of rain tomorrow.  But today +1C and lovely skiing.  Went up the 5 from P3 and down the 15 behind Pink.  Tired by the end of 75 mins but I ran for 30 mins with Francine this morning.  I hope I will get some benefit from this come cycling season!

Ski 25: The Gatineau Loppett

Sunday, January 16, 2014 27km, 1hr57m, 18/24 M35-39, 99/192 men. A beautiful sunny day, cold at the start around -17 and with a wind but I actually appreciated the scenery and conditions along the way.  I skied a good consistent race and felt reasonably good.  Nothing stellar but very enjoyable and I beat Chris by just over 2 minutes!

Ski 24: 30 for 36

Saturday, February 8, 2014 The idea had been to do a 36 k ski for my 36th birthday. Unfortunately we ran out of time so it turned into 30.5km. Still It was a nice sunny day and very good conditions. Here's Chris and Darius at the top of Black's:

Ski 23: It was

Thursday, February 6, 2014 The after work usual to Pink lookout. I'm panicking a little about next weekend's Loppett but it's probably a bit late now.

Ski 22: Niggly knee

Wednesday, February 5, 2014 I'm turning 36 on Saturday so maybe it's psychosomatic but my left knee has been a bit niggly for some time. Hopefully just needs some rest so I cut this P3 ski short.

Ski 21: A new route

Sunday, February 2, 2014 Soft, fresh snow but a beautiful day. 22k, 1hr50m with Darius. P3 up the 5 to MacKenzie King then back to the Parkway on 15. Very nice.
